Sri, kesalahan atau kejahatan

Sebagai rakyat biasa, belakangan ini saya sering sakit kepala menyaksikan siaran tentang ”pengadilan”. Apalagi ”pengadilan” yang mengusik nurani. ”Pengadilan” itu mencari ”kesalahan” dan setiap menemukan kesalahan, mereka minta dicatat dan ditindaklanjuti. Yang ”bersalah” agar dihukum.

Vonis hukuman pun memiliki beragam motif. Tidak melulu untuk menimbulkan efek jera atau memberi rasa keadilan. Ada vonis yang bertujuan sekadar menjalankan tugas, menyenangkan atasan, menjalankan aspek-aspek legalistik-formal, balas dendam, dan mempermalukan orang.

Onward…

Voila…it’s been one helluva month with a bucket load of activities…

It’s not that I’ve run out of things to blog about, or that I’ve suddenly gone off the idea of gobbing off about anything that takes my fancy. Oh no. Some things will never change, and I’m in this for the long haul. This last month has been a tough one to say the least, and other things, real life things, have had to take priority over writing and keeping up with the www.

I have just too many thoughts going through my head and I feel like there is not quite enough time to get them all down on paper. Er, blog? Anyway. I realize I haven’t recapped our Pangandaran trip last year. I realize I haven’t memorialized my 2010 goals in this blog. Nor have I reminisced over 2009. All of the blog posts that I’ve wanted to write and publish just haven’t happened.

And for those who have no idea what I’m going on about, some brief details.

Elizabeth, my cousin, is gonna get married this Saturday and with our little help, we had successfully arranged her engagement party last week and without a doubt, we’re about to hit the ‘D’ day this weekend. As a consequence, we have to arrange many things with the vendors and the people we asked for help. Set up the time schedule, meetings, preparations and many things not to mention with the extreme weather going on for the last couple of weeks.

Good news, I’ve had my first client of the year recently. I constructed my first client questionnaire to help identify their needs and begin to work on a new website design. I asked Frenky to help me with the back-end administration while I prefer to design the front-end. Let’s see what would it be the next couple of weeks…

With all that is going on, it means that every ounce of my brain power goes toward work and by the time I get home I am left with a messy jelly-like substance that can barely form coherent thoughts, let alone sentences, let alone full on blog posts.

I don’t know if I can still catch up with the www later on but one thing for sure, I can pay off the bill

It kinda feels like christmas

We had sucessfully put the Christmas tree up last night! It’s already Dec. 12th and it sorta feels like Christmas…We  really drug our feet with decorating for Christmas this year. The best part about Christmas is getting to spend time with family, wouldn’t you agree?  I’ll do Christmas with my in-laws when we come back from Pangandaran, over New Years and it really works out nicely this way because we get THREE big celebrations. First, the 25^th is the best to look forward to, Christmas and also Lia’s birthday. 26^th keisha and andreas are gonna have their first sacrament (baptism) but in different church, I know it sounds a little bit weird but trust me, you don’t want to know what caused the problem. 27^th Elly and Alex are gonna get engaged and we will do our best to help them arrange the party.

That’s that folks for the time being. I’ve got a lunch appointment at Suis Butcher Steak House right now. I gotta go. See you…

1. Beberapa minggu lalu Lula, anjing cewek di rumah mengalami masa menstruasi. Awalnya saya ngga begitu peduli dan anggap itu hal biasa. Tapi on second thought, anjing juga menstruasi? are you freaking kidding me? Dan saya harus menerima kenyataan itu. Anjing betina memang mengalami menstruasi layaknya seorang wanita. Tapi tentu saja anjing tidak memakai atau dipakaikan pembalut. You know exactly where I’m getting at, right? Benar. Darahnya scattered all over the floor…yikes..

Netcon Sucks

First, let it be said that I’m NOT a noob. I have gained fairly amount of tips and tricks about computer and internet related-stuff during my adult life. I know that something ain’t right or must has gone wrong with the network connection all these days…

The network guys seem to me like a bunch of noobs and don’t know exactly what they are here for. They suppose to provide the internet connection and meet the employees’ requests. So far, I’ve been told that they have their own policy to limit the internet connection to certain networks and guess what, they’ve got the maximum bandwidth to surf the internet at their disposal. What a slick trick. Nice going dudes…

reliving the memory…

Whoaaah, I’ve really been not-in-the-mood about blogging lately. Actually, that’s not entirely true. I’ve been writing posts. They’re just not getting posted. Not yet anyway. I have a few posts scheduled for the week of my upcoming vacation and I want to make sure that they’re just right or I might ignore them instead.

Vacation? you say. Yes, vacation, I say. We are planning to go to Pangandaran during the Christmas holiday  (our second attempt this year), in case you were wondering–and, yes, I’m the ass that always asks “are we gonna go there?”.  It just happens to fall the day before our one-year anniversary. That’s technically the day that is 365 days after we shared vows. But, whatever, I’m not keeping track or anything. But the people in Kesan reminded us about this and how thankful it is to know that people do care about our wedding anniversary. So, we’re going to celebrate it along with several couples of the church.

We’ll spend three glorious days there and it will basically be our wedding, version 2.0. I’m excited!  And (and? there’s more?) this is going to be one of my favorite days of the year.

I have no idea what Lia thinks about this upcoming trip. But I really think she’ll enjoy it. Sure, she might not enjoy the many, many hours in the car to get there (really, who does?).

Truth be told, this trip has sort of snuck up on me. Uhmm, I need to get away from the crowd during the long Christmas holiday actually. The house I can assure you, would be stuffed with people and activities during the time and that’s what I definitely want to get away from

A year ago, we were so busy with wedding stuff that we got to the end of December and didn’t even realize it. This year, I’m still pretty busy (though not with wedding stuff–thank goodness!) doing what I have left behind for months, I don’t want to tell you about it just yet, but sure I’ll write as soon as I finish the project. It killed me.

So, that’s that. I’m really excited about my vacation and wouldn’t want to spend that week (or our anniversary) any other way.

Hi folks, long time no see. I’ve got a bucket load of tasks these couple of weeks and that seems to be tailed by long christmas holiday the week after…

Little weekend getaway with the family this weekend should be fun I think…

I have something that I’ve been thinking about for a long, long time that I want to bounce off you (my loyal readers).  I’ve always had a strong interest in freelancing, you know, quit the job and start to work on my own. I know this sounds silly or a little bit too early to some of you since I earn fixed income every month and it means that I can pay off the bill with no worries…

Freelance sounds very tempting though, no boss breathing down your neck, you can wear your shorts to work, plenty of freelance websites and part-time work available through websites like http://kerjadirumah.co.tv and many more.

But until now, I don’t wanna quit my day job yet.. that is of course, unless the company I’m working for is *way* behind on payroll and I’m going into debt, then by all means QUIT NOW!

On top of that, I still think that God has His own unique way to tell me what’s best and this is the last but not least that has really helped me a lot, to those of you out there who are going through the same.…don’t forget to bend your knee and cross your fingers each day…

a milestone

I just hit a milestone with several chapters today and delivered it to my project adviser. Well, to tell the truth, I didn’t get a chance to see my adviser this morning (AGAIN) because he’s got a pretty tight schedule today and so do I. I think it sorta the same situation that I have to take easily. History repeats itself. Since we both have busy weeks ahead of us, it means that we don’t see each other regularly as one of the rules in conducting the project.

I’ll catch up with the rest of the chapters as soon as I hit home. Well, this is one helluva month I’m certainly gonna spend with in front of the computer mostly…

Now to work on stuff I get paid for. Gee so tedious…

dependable to electricity

A few hours ago, the electricity went down. It covered quite a large area of northern part of the city. I don’t know if you guys got the same rainy and darky night as I had.

I know, I need to update with a new post. I just can’t think of anything. It’s been a really rough couple of days for me in every way imaginable. My brain is just not functioning properly. Hopefully, when things settle down a little and I get my sanity back, my blogging streak will return.
